Thirty minutes is the ideal duration, according to veterinarians, to maintain cardiovascular activity, mental attention, and muscle growth without pushing your dog too hard and running the danger of fatigue-related injury. 



If a dog is not physically or medically able to complete a full session, or if their condition prevents them from exercising, then sessions may be shorter.

We offer weekly, bi-weekly, subscription and on-demand scheduling. Most people schedule once a week the same day and time each week and find great benefit both mentally and physically, generally.

Since there are fewer outdoor options during the heat of the summer, we find many of our clients would prefer to increase to twice a week. Our Subscription Pricing choices are most beneficial for your unique needs but you are the one who knows your dog the best.

You’ll receive a text or call the day before your appointment, and an ETA when we are on our way to your location. Do not feed your dog at least an hour before their session, get leashed up, take them out for a potty break, before our arrival. If you have a favorite harness go ahead and put them in it for their session, Otherwise, we’ll provide harnesses for safety and comfort during their run.

Once we arrive, we’ll meet you at the door in case you’re in need of some assistance bringing your dog(s) out to the mobile dog gym.

*We ask to allow a 15-minute window before or after your scheduled time to accommodate traffic and unexpected scheduling adjustments.

Safety & Positivity

Our goal is to give your dog the best work out of their day, customized to their needs. We closely supervise their movements and encourage them to “work” (walk, trot, or run, whatever their speed) throughout the session. We stop the dog for breaks as needed even if they want to continually run we still stop them at regular intervals for a health and safety check. Our custom-built treadmills have NO MOTOR, so your dog does all the work, and NOTHING is forced. We are there to ensure a safe fun session with positive reinforcement via cheering, clapping, squeaky toys, and overall love and affection. Only with the owner’s consent will treats be introduced, since there are many dogs that use us for weight loss or have dietary needs that we don’t want to interfere with.

You are more than welcome to join during the sessions to hang out with your dog (it’s a good time!) or feel free to let us work with your dog while you finish tasks or simply enjoy a glass of wine after work in a quiet house!

What can I expect AFTER my RunPaws Mobile Fitness Session?

After their session, your dog might spend some time panting and stretched out on the cool floor. They just worked out so well! Don't feed them till their heart rate has decreased. It's natural for certain dogs to have an energy surge following their session.

They just had a good workout, and their endorphins and adrenaline are pumping. Once their heart rate slows down and they relax, the energy will burn off. For unconditioned or older dogs, we recommend giving their hind legs a nice rubdown to release lactic acid and prevent possible soreness the next day.

Next sessions can be scheduled the same way you booked originally. We typically follow up within a week of their first session but feel free to reach out anytime with feedback!

Most dogs take 5 minutes for us to train them how to balance and walk on the treadmill. Once they learn the movement will not hurt them, and their confidence grows they start to walk on their own. We are with them during the whole session.

As there are NO MOTORS, the Dogs walk or run at their own speed. Our coach watches their movements making sure they are safe and having a positive experience.

Since each dog is unique, it could take a few sessions to really get them moving. Nearly all dogs will eventually pick up a decent pace and become comfortable jogging.

Every dog is unique! Some pick it up quickly—within minutes—while others require multiple sessions to develop self-assurance. Even if your dog is not running at full pace, they will still receive an excellent workout. 


They are maintaining focus, balance, and incline climbing throughout the entire session, even at a leisurely stroll. 

Walking your dog is not the same as walking on our treadmills. Your dog is focused on each step they take. They are using every muscle in their body to accomplish that. It's both mental and physical, and the end result is a tired dog!

We encourage the first session to be together so everyone can meet. Your dog will feel less afraid if you are there to give them some affirmation until they are used to the van, the treadmill (and us!) After that, you are welcome to leave them with us and go enjoy yourself.

Always clear any physical activity with your veterinarian first. All our canine clients must be at least 4 months old and be up to date on all vaccinations. We can accommodate anywhere from 2 lbs – 250 lbs and have experience with a wide variety of mental and physical concerns; from scared, anxious, stubborn and reactive; to overweight, pre/post-surgery, or otherwise limited in one way or another.

We understand that life sometimes gets in the way and rescheduling or canceling is needed. The client agrees to let us know, at minimum, by 8pm the day before their session. Cancellations made the same day will result in a $25 cancellation fee, and any sessions canceled within two hours of the scheduled time will be charged at full cost of the missed session.
